Overview

The Brief:

 

The Senior Strategist turns Truths into Action and is a creative problem-solver; extracting novel and provocative insights from the brand, people and world around them. The Senior Strategist is responsible for impacting creative production via highly strategic insights and creative ideas.

Responsibilities

  • Seeks out and gains knowledge of consumer preferences and relationships to ensure that the voice of the customer is integrated into communication strategy
  • Ensures consumer relevance of the brand communication strategy
  • Able to formulate, evolve and debate a POV
  • Develops creative briefs and provides clear persuasive briefings to Creative teams
  • Directs research that will aid in the consumer insight gathering and strategic planning process
  • Creative problem solver in a modern marketing context
  • Able to distill and synthesizing qualitative/quantitative information Establish and maintain substantial and influential relationships with client senior management
  • Sound understanding & application of agency (and client) tools – BAV, eXploring, etc.
  • Interprets and monitors cultural and social trends relevant to client business and competitive landscape
  • Generates new approaches and thinking
  • Stimulates and constructs unexpected, modern, multi-dimensional creative ideas
  • Monitors team members on branding initiatives
  • Speaks for the client’s customers in client meetings and corroborates research and strategy findings
  • Supervises planning collaboration with client-focused teams to develop business-building strategies and ideas
  • Oversees the day to day activities of team members within the group and ensures they are given the proper experience, training and mentoring to ensure fullest professional growth
  • Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

We'd love it if  you:
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in related field

  • Have an advanced degree a plus 5-8 years related experience with at least 3 years of managerial experience

  • Have deep knowledge of relevant product categories and strategic insights into consumer behavior

  • Have outstanding verbal and written communications skills

  • Have an ability to present ideas clearly and concisely

  • Have demonstrated knowledge of primary and secondary research methodology, both qualitative and quantitative

  • Are a compelling story teller who is engaging with both the client and internal agency teams/partners

  • Have a comprehensive understanding of marketing practices and brand theory Avid consumer of popular culture and creative arts
