Overview

The Brief:

 

The Senior Digital Strategist works with the Director of Engagement Strategy to provide business-driven counsel to clients at the brand, digital and social level within the context of the strategy discipline. The Senior Digital Strategist is ultimately responsible for developing and executing digital/social media strategies to drive awareness, engagement, and traffic that align with overarching brand strategies and ecosystem.

Responsibilities

Thought-leadership: Given the digital space's fast evolving nature, you will assist with the development POVs on new trends, behaviors, and technologies for both internal and client advancement.

 

Evangelization: As brand teams need to learn how digital can be used, you will assist with providing thought leadership to internal teams (creative, planning and account teams) to gain confidence and inspire innovation within digital and beyond.

 

New busines: You will be called on to develop and present digital/social media strategies for new business prospects.

 

Essential Duties:

  • Partner with the brand planning team to derive insights from research and identify opportunities for our clients to meet and exceed their competition
  • Work closely with the insights team to design measurement, targeting, testing, and optimization mechanisms to evaluate and drive the success of campaigns.
  • Help populate digital/social customer profiles and personas; identify unmet needs, hypothesize key customer problems/digital solutions
  • Participate in client workshops, presentations, and other working sessions as required.
  • Develop accurate and insightful conclusions from research data to construct well-informed digital and social creative briefs and valuable direction to the client.
  • Develop digital & social marketing strategies that deliver on clients’ KPIs and business objectives
  • Produce channel strategies and ideate with creative to conceive solutions for each channel
  • Define impactful content strategies for client’s digital channels
  • Work with activation teams (TV, Audio, Print, OOH, Digital) to socialize all media
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues from a range of disciplines including Strategy, Media, Creative, & Account Management
  • Monitor trends in content marketing and digital and social media
  • Educate and support client and internal teams on social and marketing channel value, best practices and ongoing evolution implications
  • Lead the client with a vision for how social media should evolve
  • Create clear, compelling content for client presentations, POVs, and other deliverables
  • Be prepared for other tasks as you may be assigned

Qualifications

We’d love it if you:

  • Have 5+ years of experience in digital or social strategy
  • Have 4+ years developing and presenting custom digital solutions within a digital marketing, PR, or advertising agency environment
  • Have a proven track record in developing strategic plans that benefit the client
  • Have expertise in Social Media various platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, Vine, LinkedIn, etc.) and understand how each platform is used by marketers
  • Can demonstrate understanding of paid, earned and owned media integration
  • Have experience participating from a strategic perspective through a website development
  • Are able to strategize an engaging social/digital experience, utilizing multiple platforms to deliver and engage a compelling brand story
  • Have experience developing digital creative briefs, business requirements, and strategic frameworks for digital engagements
  • Have research/analysis skills including online listening, competitive/marketplace auditing, trend analyses
  • Have a passion for and knowledge of current and emerging technologies
  • Have an entrepreneurial spirit and instinct for creative problem-solving
  • Are a confident and compelling communicator, presenter and writer
  • Are able to make complex subjects understandable
  • Have pharmaceutical and/or healthcare category experience, preferred not required
