  • Overview

    The Brief:

     

    As a Medical Editor, you are responsible for editing and/or annotating integrated client campaigns and materials, including but not limited to:print, digital, TV, mobile. As quality control for the agency, this role is critical to the successful execution of campaigns and projects, ensuring accuracy, adherence to brand, medical, legal, and regulatory guidelines. Our ideal candidate has solid writing and organizational skill, is a strong communicator and has meticulous attention to details. They are curious and motivated, and work well independently or as part of a team in high-pressure situations.

    Responsibilities

    • Reviews all marketing and sales training materials (e.g., sales aids, journal ads, slide presentations, websites, emails, TV ads, patient materials including instructional videos) for assigned brand(s)
    • Edits for organization, style, flow, accuracy and clarity of message, adherence to client/brand and FDA guidelines; proofreads at every round
    • Fact-checks to ensure all content is accurate
    • Write, review, and edit marketing and scientific medical writing
    • Aware of current industry practices and regulatory requirements that affect medical writing
    • Understands the objective of each piece and advocates for appropriate use of any product claims, images, footnotes, references, etc.
    • Follows direction, adheres to deadlines, tracks with overall workflow
    • Acts as expert resource on grammar, punctuation, and other editorial issues 
    • Be prepared for other tasks as you may be assigned

    Qualifications

     We’d love it if you:

     

    • Three (3) or more years pharmaceutical marketing/advertising editing experience; agency experience preferred
    • Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, or journalism, preferred
    • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat Pro, preferred
    • Attention to detail and exceptional oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and to work well under pressure
    • Familiarity with AMA style and FDA requirements governing pharmaceutical advertising required
    • Ability to communicate scientific or medical information in a clear and concise manner
