  • Overview

    The Group Account Director leads business and consumer insight through strong collaboration with senior clients and senior members of the integrated team.  They partner with senior leadership to help drive revenue and ensure efficient delivery of promised scope and oversees all activities associated with assigned accounts.

    • Proactively address future client and agency problems and opportunities; don’t shy away from hard conversations 
    • Be effective in selling transformational creative (and keeping it sold) 
    • Manage the scope of work and sell incremental projects 
    • Recognize and resolve conflict situations 
    • Push client and team to evolve digital landscape and social media presence for brand 
    • Be a team motivator who sets the tone, manages morale and leads by example 
    • Identify potential talent and develop account staff 
    • Act as a Y&R Ambassador to external candidates for future opportunities 
    • Fluidly manage multiples assignments of considerable scale and/or complexity 
    • Can identify and leverage new Agency revenue opportunities for organic growth 
    • Develop team talent and skill sets; mentor staff and support career paths 
    • Contribute when asked and step up to do whatever it takes to get the job done and win 
    • Be prepared for other tasks as assigned 



    • Have approximately 12+ years of advertising/marketing experience with at least 8 years of managerial experience 
    • Are well respected by colleagues and clients  
    • Have a proven client and team leadership abilities 
    • Advocate and orchestrate activities in social media and the digital landscape 
    • Be an agency leader who inspires internal and external partners 
    • Excel at impromptu speaking 
    • Be a spontaneous problem solver 
    • Have excellent judgment and maturity
