  • Overview

    VMLY&R NY, (a WPP company), is seeking a candidate for an Integrated Media Planner position.  The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of integrated media channel experience with a strong foundation in Digital/Social but includes TV, Radio, Print and OOH.  A positive, enthusiastic, team-oriented attitude is a must.  The right candidate will also have a range of national and local media planning experience.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and maintain intimate knowledge of client business
    • Research, plan, negotiate and execute integrated media plans
    • Monitor media performance to ensure original objectives and strategies were met
    • Recommend optimizations for both site/placement and creative rotation perspective after reviewing results
    • Own/maintain budget control, develop media schedules, monitor buys/schedules, reconcile budgets
    • Update supervisor and team on status of all ongoing client projects
    • Manage/train assistant planner
    • Investigate creative, innovative approaches to strategically reach the target
    • Manage day-to-day client requests – i.e. plan changes, budget changes, ad hoc requests
    • Meet with media sales reps and industry reps on a regular basis to pursue ideas that are strategically aligned with clients’ objectives

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Minimum of 2 – 3 years of experience offline and digital media planning
    • Solid understanding of all media types including Broadcast, Print, OOH and Digital
    • Strong team management, project planning and interpersonal and written communication skills
    • Ability to collaborate and work as part of a team
    • Proficient Knowledge of:
    • Syndicated research tools (MRI, Kantar, Comscore etc.)
    • Microsoft Office Software (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
    • Media systems and tools (DDS, IMS, DCM, Sizmek etc.)
